Amethyst's sole business
activity is providing a full e-Learning and CBT Design & Build, Multimedia Authoring Service. Using in-house or your own provided design material, our authoring production facilities,
right through to media duplication and course evaluation, Amethyst offer a total solution. |
Typically this will start with
training need analysis, objectives, concept discussions, content outline, storyboard,
identification of existing suitable material and presentation of our design ideas. |
Pilot applications can be
written to determine if e-Learning or CBT is an appropriate platform before having to commit to a full
project. The length of a pilot is at your discretion. |
| Once a pilot is completed future
options are totally at your discretion.
You may wish Amethyst to complete the project, which we will do either fixed price or T&M. Alternatively, you may want to use the pilot but undertake further development internally. Amethyst are totally flexible in the way we work, hence your pilot, besides providing an example and grounding in e-Learning/CBT Development, will act as a training aid as well. Or you may decide that e-Learning/CBT is not the platform for you, but at least you have made this decision rationally, having viewed what they can do without risking a large investment. |
All Amethyst's e-Learning/CBT
projects are developed using a formalised design methodology called SAD/SiS
(Structured Amethyst Design/Single Source) to ensure the projects are controlled
effectively and the project meets the clients expectations. (Amethyst provide a document Amethyst
s Approach to Designing Multimedia Systems in which SAD/SiS is described.
